Strolling around The Brooklyn Bridge

Welcome to Brooklyn

Brooklyn Bridge. The bridge of which a lot of Hollywood movies and romantic pre-wedding photos were shot at. The bridge that many have testified that it brings every visitor comfort at heart and, whoever standing on one of its sides looking at either sunsets or sunrises there, a peaceful feeling. Yes, Brooklyn Bridge is that famous. And on my New York layover this time, along with two other crew members (my flying partner Diana and a Malaysian crew named Nurul), there I went.

Our hotel was located in Long Island, quite far to go to the downtown, so we went out by 9 AM by an Uber car to reach the nearest train station, Farmingdale. From this station, we bought a Line A ticket heading to Penn Station. We dropped by Jamaica Station and took another train on track number 3 and fully stopped at the destination which was Atlantic City Terminal Station.

Our train ride from Farmingdale to Atlantic City Terminal was approximately an hour and fifteen minutes. But then we still got to take another cab from the station to the road heading to The Brooklyn Bridge. The cab could only drop us on the tip of the road because it was a line constructed for pedestrians and cyclists. On the left hand and right hand sides were the lines for personal and commercial vehicles. Everybody has their own line to cross properly.

It was indeed beautiful and God only knew how many pictures we took there. At one point in between taking pictures, I looked around me and found that there were a lot of couples walking hand in hand. Joggers breaking their sweats with music on their ears to excite them. Tourists busy posing in so many angles with their selfie sticks. A couple of tourists even asked Diana to take pictures of them. Anywhere we go on a layover, there will always be someone approaching one of us and say, “Hi, could you please take a picture of us?”

Brooklyn Bridge was hosting various kinds of visitors every single aday. And it was a struggle to get a clear standing pose for your pictures because there always be people running, cycling, strolling around and passing you by. They never intended to be photobombers though, he he he…

Me in Brooklyn Bridge 2

Jembatan Brooklyn.

Jembatan Brooklyn menyambut beragam jenis pengunjung setiap harinya. Mereka nggak pernah berniat jadi perusak foto orang sih, he he he…
